The "smear" campaigns begin. Whether it's Palin making up nightmare scenarios about "death panels" or Newt backing up her imaginary bill proposals the American people are listening and the majority might just be naive enough to fall for such ridiculous insinuations. According to the right wing smear machine, Obama's Health Care bill will exclude any decent coverage for elderly people or sick people. I think they may be confused with the current system in place and the Health Care Industries tendancy to deny claims based on those two reasons alone. The Health Care Industry has already spent over 1 billion dollars to combat this plan to fix what is obviously broken. For instance they've released a commercial ad in which they claim the new bill will take 500 billion dollars from medicare over X amount of years when in actuality it's quit the opposite. From what has been proposed thus far in the bill medicare will either stay untouched or incresed funding will be added to the "government" run entity. Do you have any idea how much a Health Care CEO makes? Ohhhh say about $100,000. AN HOUR!!! Now I'm not familiar with the amount in bonuses that's given every month based on the amount of claims denied by the "private sector" but the fact that it even exists seems cruel and inhumane to me. I guess you'd better hope you don't need an operation around the end of the month or hope they've already met their quota. Or I'm sure they'll find reason, regardless of how many years you've paid in to the company, to deny your claim. Yet here they want us to believe that the "socialist" run health care will destroy us as people!?!? I'm digusted. I wish there was more I could do but you can't fix stupid I guess. Everyone is entitled to the rights in the first amendment and that's what makes this country great but to blatantly lie and knowing your lies could result in the deaths of millions of people over so many years makes me wonder how they sleep at night. Probably Ambien, a "job perk" I'm sure. Along with millions in campaign donations. I guess all we can do as like minded Liberals, or "common sense realists" is sign every petition we can, debate every hypocrite that comes along, and write every Congress and Senate member involved, as much as it takes because our right as humans much less Americans is life, one free of sickness, disease, and death profiteering. It's almost sad to see how many of the talking heads sheep flock to do their bidding. Having people convinced they don't want health care. It's amazing at the extreme things that the republican party will do to keep the flow of money entering their pockets. The most recent of those being the commercials and statements put out by the right in which they make outlandish claims that the Democrats, if given their way with Health Care will kill your grandparents to cut back on costs.
